Megyn Kelly rips Pope Francis over immigration a few hours after his death, says Pontiff moved the Catholic Church in a left direction ‘

Megyn Kelly criticized Pope Francis for his stance on immigration just hours after the Vatican announced Ponti’s death on Monday.

Kelly, the former Fox News and a practicing Catholic, issued a sharp criticism of the Pope’s political leadership and attitude, especially for immigration.

Francis, 88, died early Monday from a cerebral stroke and heart failure.

In the afternoon, Kelly had released a new episode of her Siriusxm Podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show”, where she accused the Pope of the movement of the Catholic Church “in a left direction”.

Kelly criticized the church’s efforts to help immigrants undocumented, suggesting that those efforts left American citizens to “deal with the consequences.

“The church has participated in taking immigrants here and then find them shelter and help them stay here, despite the fact that they are illegally here,” Kelly said.

“And Pope Francis did not have to deal with this. It has made many of us in the Catholic Church to ask what exactly we are donating Sunday, really do.”

She said that conservative Catholics like themselves have found themselves in a “war of war … among the Pope’s messages and what he wanted to believe were deep Catholic lessons and what we understand as Americans who have seen our citizens killed in the streets by these people to be true.”

According to Kelly, “illegal funding coming in the country” is a step far away.

“They are not all raised Catholics,” she added, opposing the traditional missions of the church with what she perceives as political congestion.

During his papacy, Pope Francis often denounced President Trump’s policies, especially the planned construction of a wall along the US-Mexico border.

He condemned movements such as acts of “cruelty” and labeled the expulsion of migrants a “severe sin”.

In leading the US presidential election in 2024, Pontifi encouraged Catholics to vote according to their conscience and to solve “the least evil”.

In response to these positions, Vice President JD Vance called the medieval Catholic concept of Ordo amoris – an alleged care hierarchy that begins with one’s family and extends from the outside.

But Francis addressed this interpretation in a short letter to American bishops, leaving against that reading of theology.

“Christian love is not a concentric expansion of interests that stretches out to other persons and groups little by little,” Francis wrote.

“The true Amoris to be promoted is what we discover by constantly meditating on the parable of the good Samaritan … The love that builds an open brotherhood for all, without exception.”

Despite the theological dispute, Vance met briefly with the Pope the day before his death in what some regarded as an attempt to reconcile their differences.

Kelly, however, remained hard on the side of Trump in the immigration debate.

“Trump was so devoted to get rid of these people that Pope Francis simply looked at as vulnerable and vulnerable,” she said.

“You know who is vulnerable and vulnerable? Laken Riley,” she added, referring to a George’s nursing student killed by an undocumented migrant.

Although very critical, Kelly ended her remarks with a note of reflection.

“I am sure he would have nothing but empathy for those killed by these illegals,” she said, expressing hope that the other Pope may be the Archbishop of New York, Cardinal Timothy Dollan.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, 77, has taken the temporary control of Vatican issues such as Camerlengo-a role that oversees the daily operations of the church and coordinates the transition to the next papacy.

Francis, leaving tradition, sought burial at the Santa Maria Maggiore of Rome rather than St. Peter’s Basilica, and will be the first pope in over a century to be buried outside the Vatican.
