Former Politico’s best recorder, Ryan Lizza, whose former fiancée Olivia Nuzzi embraced a sequestration scandal with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., suddenly announced his exit from the outlet to the Internet-savagely destroying his poor coverage while looking for his new entrepreneurship.
In his first post for his new Substack “Telos News”, Lizza said he had “recently left” the publication because he believed that “their style of political coverage is not fulfilling the unprecedented moment of the democratic danger we are facing.”
“This publication is my diligent attempt to cover the crisis in Washington with a clear eye of what is actually happening,” wrote Lizza, who had been the correspondent of the Mayor of Washington of Politico since 2019.
He noted that the new venture would only be funded by readers – as he called on them to pay subscriptions to help grow it.
“I have never written an appeal for fundraising, and simply suppressing this paragraph is deeply promoting for me. But we want to create not only a newspaper but a news community,” he said.
“And that means I need your help. In particular, please pay for a reconciliation to show you believe in this project.”
Elsewhere in his first post, Lizza accused his former employee and other visible Kowtow shops for President Trump after the Commander-in-Chief publicly removed his critics and threatened legal action.
“I saw how easy it was for a media conglomerate to gather in front of the Trump administration when the wrong people are responsible,” he wrote.
Lizza dropped out to choose to send one of her reporters to be a guest on stage at the Conservative Conference of Political Action (CPAC) after Trump “attacked Politico for the sale of federal government reconciliation”.
He described the conference as a “channeling of the media that was and cheers for the degradation of our democracy, where some activists were publicly organizing a third unconstitutional term for Trump – in other words, a coup.”
“A friend of mine who served in Iraq once tried to explain how much the disorientation psychological struggle could be for the first time they are in full -scale fighting. So terrible, so unlike any human experience, that the initial instinct is to deny that what is actually happening,” Lizza said.
“This is the psychology that has captured many newsrooms, legal firms and other elite institutions in Washington for months. We have to wake up.”
Lizza’s distribution for his now-forming employer came after he was set at the end of last year after his ex-political reporter in New York, accused him of physical and sexual abuse in a disorderly court battle.
Politico, at the time, denied that the shock was related to the Nuzz-Kennedy saga.
This controversy was publicly poured out when Nuzzi was reported to have been engaged in a personal relationship with Kennedy, while she was covering his independent presidential campaign.
The dispute over the title between Lizza and Nuzzi ended in November when she decided to fall her case.
Lizza returned to Politico in the consequences, but said he would no longer edit her high profile newspaper.
“I will remain a correspondent of Politico in Washington, but with a focus on deep features, profiles and interview,” he wrote in X at the time.
However, the reporter never published anything under his name after he returned.
