The Democratic Party is still facing leadership problems and messages 100 days in President Donald Trump’s second presidency. While the party seems to be fighting an internal civil war, the famous democratic strategist James Carville described what he believes will be the winning message for the Democrats in the upcoming elections.
“Democrats must be the party of people trying to do it, and make Republicans exactly what they are – from the people who have done it,” Carville told The Will Cain Show on Tuesday.
“The Ragin ‘Cajun” added that the Democrats do not need a “clean message”. He argued that his characterization of the Republican Party will “appear” in the economy, tax cuts and health care, specifically pointing to Trump’s “great, beautiful bill”.
“This is the time for the Democrats to be enlivened,” Carville said. “The big, beautiful bill will hold about four trillion dollars in tax cuts mainly focused on wealthy people. The country does not need it. Democrats have to stay in it … We have taken a lot of time to talk about the great beautiful bill, and talk about it, we will.”
While Carville described the message, he said the “champion” of the Democratic Party is not yet determined.
“There is a rich talent in the party,” he said, echoing comments from last week. “I want to see these .350 shocks get up and face the main league hit, and some of them will be pretty good.”
Carville recently said Democrats should stop leaving Senate Bernie Sanders, I-VT, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., to determine the party in Thursday’s episode in his Podcast “The Politics of War”.
Carville claimed during Podcast that Democrats have candidates who are “stunning more talented” than Sanders and AOC, and it’s time to start taking these alternative candidates in front of voters.
Although Carville rejected by naming any potential leaders at The Will Cain Show on Tuesday, he was sure that the party would not repeat the “self-made democratic catastrophe” in 2024.
The Fox News host Will Cain also pushed Carville to his comments by equating Trump with Hitler, but the ardent political commentator claimed the claims are “something to grow”.
Last week, former President Bill Clinton’s adviser asked in the “Political War House” if Americans have to wait until Trump becomes Hitler before taking action against his administration.
Carville reviewed these comments on Tuesday, asking, “Should you wait until he [Trump] become Hitler? ”
