Most Donald Trump supporters are not buying Big Tech efforts to absorb the president, according to the results of the nationwide survey obtained exclusively from the post.
Meta Director General Mark Zuckerberg and other great technology chiefs have launched a charm attack since Trump won the White House-inaugurating it in January, traveling to the Oval Office and destroying the facts that were accused of anticonservative censorship.
However, 54% of Trump’s voters – and 70% of voters in general – believe that movements are part of a cynical ploy to shake the president to embrace large technology policy positions, according to a study conducted by Watchdog Group Supervision Project and Voting Public Policy.
As for the technology CEO itself, Zuckerberg was considered more impassable, with 63% of Trump voters who did not approve it, against 74% of voters in general.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos withdrew from 53% of Trump’s voters against 67% in general.
Google’s Pichai withdrew a 52% disapproval estimate of Trump’s voters (55% in general), while Sam Altman I Openai received 34% (50% total) and CEO of Tim Cook 44% dislikes (33% in general), according to the survey.
“Not only do Americans constantly do not trust great technology CEO, but Trump voters also reject their new Maga act – and in fact support policies as a major technology tax to restore them,” said Sacha Haworth, the executive director of the technology supervision project.
When it comes to artificial intelligence, only 7% of respondents said they trust large technology CEOs to make decisions on policies that are likely to affect the daily lives of Americans, while 52% of respondents said they were entrusted to federal governments and the state to take over the issue.
According to the survey, 72% of respondents support the concept of a “big technology tax” that aims to ensure that companies pay their right share for public -affected initiatives, such as increased strain on energy networks by energy deceiving centers.
60% of Republicans support a major technology tax while only 21% are against it. Moreover, 86% of Democrats and 70% of independent were in favor.
Big Tech efforts to swing Trump have intensified during a time in which companies are trying to form Federal Regulations of AI – and as some, including Google, Meta and Amazon, face antitrust lawsuits and congressional investigations with the potential to increase their businesses.
“Keeping large responsible technology companies continues to be a political winner, and Congress must consider that the American people overwhelmingly support an agenda that prohibits Silicon Valley leaders who are recklessly endangering children, suppressing small and innovative businesses and increasing home energy costs,” Haworth added.
Trump has appointed Antitrust Hawks to lead the main agencies – including Gail Slater as the Chief of Antitrust of Doj and Andrew Ferguson as chairman of the Federal Commission of Trade.
The survey took place on June 3 4 and voted a total of 541 voters.
