CBS News is currently facing reactions on social media as they posted what it seemed to be a “No Kings Day” protest trade advertising on Friday, with users that clashed to postpone anti-trump goods on the eve of a large-scale political protest.
Thousands of people are expected to gather in hundreds of cities across America on Saturday to protest the Trump administration and oppose the president’s military parade in Washington, to mark the 250th birthday of the army. Today is also Flag Day, which commemorates the approval of the American flag on June 14, 1777.
Protesters are creating their demonstrations under the slogan “No Kings”, describing it as a “day of opposition” against President Donald Trump and his allies while others have called for the President to “break down”.
Author and Authorist Analyst for the Strategy at the Center for Security Policy, J. Michael Waller, clashed CBS News for the marketing “Merchandise Radical on the Eve of the Nationwide Protest/Riot”.
Another X user, Bonchie, a conservative Redstate news writer, mock the news for “making free ads for the left -wing Chinese protest trade.”
Molie Hemingway, editor -in -chief of the federalist and a contributor to Fox News, criticized the release of liberal news for “No longer even pretending to be news” and embracing his role as “Democratic propagandists”.
Another X user asked if CBS News “advertising trade for a political event” violates any guidance of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), clashing the decision to be “very unethical”.
This is not the only CBS News controversy is currently hugged.
In May, the president of CBS News and CEO Wendy McMahon announced that he was withdrawing in a stunning move for the embedded company.
Her exit follows that of the long “60 -minute” long manufacturer Bill Owens, who left the previous month because he felt he would lose the independence of journalism between a constant legal battle with Trump.
In another blow to the troubled company, the correspondent “60 minutes” Scott Pelley spoke about President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against CBS and her parent company last Saturday, arguing that a solution would be “very harmful”.
“Well, it would be very harmful to CBS, to Paramount, to the reputation of those companies,” Pelley said during a conversation with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Saturday, who asked how harmful would be a possible solution and apology to the network.
Trump filed a lawsuit against Paramount Global, CBS News’s parent company, over a “60 -minute” interview with former President Kamala Harris in October 2024. Apology from CBS News.
