Chris Cuomo jumped into his former CNN Religation on Wednesday, accusing him of bowing to partisan theater while quarreling with President Donald Trump about a report, questioning the effectiveness of US air attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Cuomo’s criticism came during his “Cuomo” news appearance, where he hosted Bill O’Reilly to discuss the consequences of an assessment of leaked intelligence, suggesting that the last strikes were likely to delay Iran’s nuclear ambitions for months – not years, as US officials claimed.
“I think this [CNN is] Trying hard to compete with these pod bros and people who sell hysteria for profit, ”Cuomo said in his show.
“We simply often cling to the propaganda game.”
Trump exploded the media coverage, labeling that “fake news”, while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also rejected reports during a press conference on Thursday.
“Iran’s nuclear countries disappeared,” Hegseth said, adding that the initial intelligence is “almost always wrong, almost always incomplete.”
O’Reilly told Cuomo that CNN was deliberately minimizing the impact of attacks.
“No one has gone under the mountain to see. Iranians can’t even do it because the mountain can collapse on them,” he said.
“There is absolutely no main source reporting on the damage caused by American planes. None. So you have four anonymous people saying,” Well, I could have heard that, I could have heard it. “”
The former Fox News leader slammed the editorial judgment of the network, calling it a wider decline in journalism.
“Absurd. No editor of the competent journalism would have printed that article, but since CNN is in business to make Trump look bad, as you say, every moment of every day, they throw it there,” O’Reilly said.
“I think we all know that the journalism industry in America and the world is at the lowest point in the history of that industry.”
Cuomo agreed with the broader criticism of the media, suggesting that the news business is following hype to compete with internet personalities.
Still, he retired back to some of O’Reilly points – especially the role of anonymous resources.
“Trump asked him by saying that everything was destroyed, so he seeks criticism because he doesn’t know either,” Cuomo said.
“But anonymous sources matter, Bill. If it weren’t for anonymous resources, in your career and mine, you would often know nothing about what is happening in the rooms of power.”
Although Cuomo was fired by CNN in 2021, he expressed admiration for many of her journalists, while calling what he sees as her latest ideological slope.
“Even though I was fired, I have a lot of respect for the men and women who are doing the job there, and I miss them a lot,” he said.
“But they see what’s going on on the left. You see they are fashionable maga … no more Democrats. There are no more Republicans. There are Maga, and now you have everything they call the new Maga.”
A CNN spokesman told The Post: “CNN lies in our full reporting of an early evaluation of the intelligence of recent attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, which has then been confirmed by other news organizations. The White House has accepted the existence of the appreciation, and their statement is included in our history.”
Cuomo was fired from CNN in December 2021 after it was revealed that he used his media links to help his brother, then York governor Andrew Cuomo, to respond to allegations of sexual harassment.
Anchor of news crashed in the Democratic Party earlier this week after his brother lost in the elementary to the Mayor of New York City for Socialist Subject Zohran Mamdani, stating in his news story that the Democratic Party is “dead” and accusing him of embracing extremism.
He also aimed at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, calling it a “broken form of democrat”, and expressed disbelief for its constant popularity.
