Politico is reported to have removed from the rest and desperate letters of legal action against former correspondent Ryan Lizza, who clashed the coverage of the Trump administration after his departure.
Lizza began his newspaper of substances called Telos News last week, his first move since the departure of Politico, which placed him on rest last year after the news of a sex scandal involved in his then fiancé Olivia Nuzzi and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
After Politico fade someone else to lead their bulletin and transferred Lizza to their magazine, he announced his departure and signed a non-division clause-which Politico is arguing that he broke telos, according to a status report, a newspaper from Oliver Darcy.
Politico and Lizza did not respond immediately to the post request for comment.
In his newspaper Telos, Lizza has aimed at traditional media to bow to President Trump and be very afraid to report harshly to the White House, claiming there was a “democratic slide in Washington”.
He issued an extensive attack on the main media, but mentioned in particular politico- making the plug to send him a rest and desirable letter ordering him to remove the post by status.
Lizza then recorded articles about Politico’s efforts to censor him, and claimed that the company had killed a podcast he had recorded with Jonathan Rauch, an old associate at the Brookings institution, comparing the Trump presidency with authoritarian rule, according to the report.
More rest and desirable letters followed, along with a claimed threat of legal action by Politico’s Supreme Lawyer, by status.
Lizza called the letter “worrying”, and politico’s attempt to deceive it a “burnt campaign from censorship demands” brought by “some soft criticism for its approach of editorial leadership to cover Trump”.
“If they move forward with a frivolous trial, I assure you that Telos will be protected by force and successfully,” Lizza Darcy told, adding that he currently has no legal representation.
He also challenged John Harris, editor -in -chief of Politico and Mathias Dopfner, Chief Executive of the parent company Axel Springer, to sit with live on Sustack for a debate.
“John and Mathias must admit that their censor campaign was a terrible mistake, attracting their demands and apologizing,” Lizza Darcy told.
It is unclear whether any legal action against Lizza is planned.
