Bill Maher mocks Demas for trying to find ‘Joe Rogan’, suggests to understand how they lost it

“Real Time” host Bill Maher mocked the Democratic Party’s attempt to find “Joe Rogan”, ironically stressing that Podcaster was leaning left until he was disappointed with the party.

The host explained, “One idea that is getting a lot of attention is that the bulls must find their Joe Rogan, a Joe Rogan Liberal.” Maher argued that instead of “arousing a new Joe Rogan”, the Democrats should ask themselves how they lost it in the first place.

Rogan previously approved Senator Bernie Sanders, D-VT, in the 2020 elections. It was not until 2024 that Rogan publicly approved President Donald Trump.

The “real -time” host promoted the idea that the real reason for former President Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election is because “Republicans have a podcast”.

“Okay, maybe. Or, you might consider this,” did zero Maher. “Instead of creating a new Joe Rogan, ask yourself why you lost old because he was on your side.”

In 2024, regarding the democratic desire to find his own Rogan, Podcaster said, “They had me.” “I was on their side,” he added.

Maher compared Rogan’s political transformation with CEO of Tesla Elon Musk, who was also a liberal that ended up “running to the other camp of bad attitudes and bad ideas”.

Maher noted that he has looked at the political evolution of both Rogan and Musk and their party affiliation did not pass “overnight”.

Maher referred a 2022 post on Twitter then by Elon Musk in which he shared a table describing his feeling that the Democratic Party had moved far from the left for it, rather than its ideology moving to the right.

Rogan said the Democrats have moved so far as “left a core central as he – now labeling a conservative”, adding that he was related to Musk’s post.

Maher also highlighted efforts from the left to cancel Rogan and Musk as a major reason they abandoned the party.

“They tried very difficult to cancel Rogan a few years ago – and when Elon received ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 2021, long before it was a Trumper – some of the cast gave the cold shoulder for the sin of being rich,” he recalled. “You think people don’t remember when you do this – to them?”

The late night host claimed that while he has never left the party, the Democrats must work hard to return “all boys in America like Joe and Elon” on their side, but provided those still possible.
