Podcaster Joe Rogan claimed on Tuesday that two former presidents unnamed were involved in the protest against his skeptical discussions about Covid-19.
Spotify received reactions in 2022 to allow Rogan, one of his biggest stars, to spread what progressive critics claimed to be Covid’s misinformation. Musician Neil Young removed his content from Spotify in protest on Rogan’s rhetoric, saying he no longer wanted to share a platform with him.
“And then all of a sudden, I hear Neil Young wants me to leave Spotify. I was like,” What is happening F- That’s crazy, ”Rogan said on Tuesday.
The then White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, directly commented on the controversy. After Spotify announced that he would flag the podcasts covering Covid-19, Psaki replied, “so this denial is a positive step, but we want every platform to continue to do more to call for disinformation, while also set up accurate information.”
“Our hope is that all the main technology platforms-and all the main news sources of that issue are responsible and vigilant to ensure that the American people have access to accurate information as important as Covid-19,” she added.
But Rogan said instead of censoring or impoverishing, “I grew up with 2 million subscribers within a month.”
“People began to hear,” he said, despite how his critics attacked his reputation. “And they began to hear, like,” Oh, he is really reasonable and quite humble for all these things and just asking questions. “”
Rogan also condemned how the media attacked his use of Ivermectin to treat his Covid-9th referring to her as a dewormer cal.
“I am, how, ‘Why aren’t you boys focusing on the fact that a 55-year-old man is well three days later during the worst strain?’ It was during the delta where everyone is leaving.
Rogan described the whole experience as a “awakening call” that opened his eyes to the media of liberal heritage.
“So dirty. It’S’S’S such a dirty business,” Rogan said. “Lord, I have had massive respect for journalists. If I had never done this podcast, I would have been your regular Schmo there with, you know, simply spitting all the company lines and all the blasts throughout the news.”
“I liked it better then,” he said with laughter. “I didn’t think the world is filled with demons, demons hungry by money that is willing to sacrifice people’s lives in pursuit of income.”
The founder and CEO of Spotify Daniel Ek addressed the reaction against Rogan’s reception while calling the company profit in February 2022.
“I think the important part here is that we do not change our policies based on a creator, nor do we change it based on any media cycle,” the chief executive said at the time. “Our policies are carefully written with the contribution from the number of internal and external experts to this space- and I believe they are entitled to our platform.”
Fox News Digital managed to spotify for comment and did not receive an immediate response.
