A resolution has been reached in the civil lawsuit claiming negligence on the fatal shooting of a cinematographer in the Western Film Group – € Rrustâ, according to court documents issued on Friday.
Judicial proceedings were brought by three real crew members “seeking compensation for emotional concern from” danger “manufacturers,” including Alec Baldwin as co-producer and leading actor.
The civil lawsuit accused manufacturers of failure to follow industry security rules – claims they denied.
Settlement conditions were not available. Lawyers for manufacturers “and plaintiffs could not be reached immediately by phone or email.
The plaintiffs in the lawsuit included Ross Addiego, a member of the front line crew, who witnessed the fateful filming of Haryna Hutchins in a close distance during a test in October 2021 on a Film Farm on the outskirts of Santa Fe.
A charge of involuntary murder against Baldwin was brought to trial last year on charges that police and prosecutors held evidence of the defense.
Separately, the “weapon” Hannah Gutierrez-reed was convicted of involuntary murder and ended an 18-month sentence in May. Prosecutors accused Gutierrez-reed of unwittingly bringing direct ammunition to the SET and not following the basic protocols of weapons security.
Baldwin was showing a gun in Hutchins during a test in a movie set outside the Santa Fe when the revolver left, killing Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
Addiego testified at the Gutierrez-Reedâ trial and appeared before the great jury who sued Baldwin.
The filming of â € œrustâ € was completed in Montana. The west was released to the cinema in May.
